Mexican Candy Store
The history of Mexican candy can go back to pre-Colombian times. The Aztec’s where drinking cocoa (coco), and when it was transferred back to Europe and added with sugar, chocolate as we know it was born. Chocolate isn’t just the only Mexican candy that is enjoyed around the world.
Chamoy is a fruit-based candy, made with mango, plum, or apricot with a salty and sour coating. Cajeta is caramel type lollipops, sweetened to perfection. These are just a couple of the types of candies we have here at La Canasta.
